Compiling a Detailed Gear List
A comprehensive Toerustinglys is mandatory for all temporary gear imports into Mozambique. Customs officials use this list to verify the exact items entering and leaving the country, preventing import duties on temporary items. Any discrepancy can cause substantial border clearance delays.
Important: Before compiling this list, ensure you have secured your mandatory INICC Filming Permit as it serves as the parent authorization for your equipment import.
Clearance Time
With our pre-approved clearing agent, clearance at airports typically takes 2 to 4 hours upon landing.
Manifest Columns
Must contain: Brand, Model, Serial Number, Quantity, Value (USD), and Country of Origin.
Key Guidelines for Your Manifest
Ensure your equipment dossier matches the requirements below:
01 Accurate Serial Numbers
Every camera body, lens, drone, and accessory must match its serial number exactly. Do not guess or leave blank.
02 Grouped by Category
Classify gear logically (e.g. Cameras, Audio, Lighting, Support) to make customs physical inspection fast.
03 Realistic Valuations
Provide accurate replacement values in USD. Over- or under-valuations can raise customs red flags.
04 Temporary Import Bond
Your list is submitted to secure a temporary customs bond, guaranteeing the gear will exit the country after the shoot.
05 Printed Copies
Always carry multiple printed copies of the manifest with your crew, in addition to digital copies.
