Visa Exemptions & eTA Entry
Mozambique offers visa-free entry and simplified Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) options for selected nations to promote tourism and commercial cooperation. Citizens of eligible countries can enter for stays up to 30 or 90 days without a traditional visa.
Filming Notice: Even if you hold a passport from a visa-exempt or eTA-eligible country, all international media teams, TV crews, and filmmakers bringing professional filming equipment or conducting commercial shoots must still obtain local sponsorship (such as Niigma Films MZ) and secure mandatory filming permits (INICC/ANAC) to clear customs and shoot legally.
Processing Time
Online eTA applications are typically processed within 24 to 72 hours. SADC exemptions require no advance visa registration, but standard customs declarations still apply.
Government Fees
The online eTA registration fee is 6,400 MZN (approx. $100 USD). Standard visa-exempt travelers do not pay visa fees for qualifying stays.
