RESEARCHING STORIES, HISTORY & VISUALS IN MOZAMBIQUE

Mozambique has a rich, complex history ranging from pre-colonial trade routes and Portuguese colonial rule to its liberation struggle and modern cultural fusion. Accessing local archives, securing clearances, and verifying historical timelines requires specialized local production coordinators.

We provide comprehensive script, location, and archival research. Our local team works closely with the National Archives of Mozambique (Arquivo Histórico de Moçambique), municipal libraries, and local community leaders to ensure absolute authenticity for your story.

Key Highlights:

• ▪Archival Licensing: We coordinate with academic, governmental, and private entities to locate and license historical video footage, print documents, and photographs.
• ▪Cultural Clearances: Required for filming sensitive community traditions, sacred sites, or cultural ceremonies. We liaise with local chieftains (Regulos) to ensure respectful collaboration.
• ▪Dialogue & Fact-Checking: We translate script drafts and verify regional dialects (such as Changana, Sena, or Macua) to prevent cultural misrepresentation.

By letting our research coordinators handle background checks and archival sourcing, you can focus on building a compelling and culturally authentic narrative.
