DOCUMENTARY
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Based on four years of research, Orphans of the Land follows people facing resettlement from Mozambique’s Limpopo National Park. The documentary explores hopes for a better life alongside the consequences of displacement: while some families prosper, communities can lose control over the natural resources that sustain their livelihoods and social ties. By placing individual experiences at the centre, the film gives a human face to the relationship between conservation, land, and resettlement. Niigma Films MZ provided Fixing and Subtitles.
